Minetales is designed for survival servers, SMP and series where time and HUD are part of the narrative.
This sheet focuses on explaining in English what Minetales does, how its
Day Counter works and what advantages it offers for survival worlds and multiplayer servers.

The Minetales – Update (Forge 1.20.1) introduces an
advanced day counter integrated into the HUD. The idea is that both players and content
creators have clear control of the time they've spent in the world or series.
New day counter configuration menu within the main Minetales menu.
Two counting modes: Server/World (same for everyone) and Player (per player).
Ability to configure the start day for the world and for each player.
Subtle HUD in a corner and large center message when the day changes.
Option to also show the real date.
Message duration configurable.
🌐 Real multiplayer synchronization (server → clients)
On servers, the world day counter cannot be out of sync between players. Therefore, Minetales saves the counter
state using SavedData on the server and syncs the data to clients.
The server saves the world counter state with SavedData.
When a player joins, the server automatically syncs the start day and world baseline.
If you change the server day via command, it syncs to all connected players.
The Server/World mode stays aligned for all players.
⌨️ Minetales Commands
The update adds commands designed for both players and server administrators/OPs.
Public mod information: /minetales about
– Shows the mod author in chat (translatable by language).
Change server/world initial day (OP/Admin only): /minetales daycounter serverday <startDay>
– Changes the world counter's "start day" and resets the baseline to the current day.
By design, the server/world day should only be changed by an admin/OP. Hence a dedicated
command exists to keep everything consistent in multiplayer.
🎨 GRADIENT Block Outline and Visual Improvements
Minetales adds a new block outline style called GRADIENT that applies a
real multicolor gradient per segment. The result is a much more eye-catching outline that fits well with shaders and
modern texture packs.
Outline with dynamic gradient per segment.
Designed for creators who want a more distinctive look in their series.
Compatible with environments where HUD and aesthetics are part of the content.
🧩 UI, Menus and Translations
The update also polishes the user experience within the configuration menus.
Layout improvements to avoid text overlapping in configuration screens.
The main Minetales menu now shows a translatable legend with Author: DelaRosaPlay.
Translations added/updated for the new day counter options and author/command in:
en_us
es_es
es_ar
and other Spanish dialects already present in the project.

✅ Quick Tips for Using Minetales
Define from the start whether your series will use Server/World or Player mode for the Day Counter.
Choose a start day that makes sense for the narrative (for example, day 100 if migrating an old world).
Use the central message only for important day changes or key events in your story.
Combine the GRADIENT block outline with light shaders to avoid sacrificing performance.
